STEPHANIE WETMORE, member

Stephanie Wetmore is the Founder and Managing Partner of Chrysalis Collective, a venture capital firm backing female founders at the intersection of sport, health, and performance. Her work is driven by the conviction that one of the largest overlooked opportunities in venture lies in women’s sport and adjacent categories. She is focused on reshaping how capital flows into these historically underfunded spaces.

A former Canadian junior tennis standout, Stephanie reached the top of the national junior rankings and earned a full tennis scholarship to UCLA, where she became an NCAA Champion. Alongside her athletic career, she built a strong academic foundation, completing a B.A. at UCLA while competing in top‑tier collegiate tennis. She went on to earn a Master’s in Sports Marketing from Georgetown University, followed by an M.A. in Communications from Stanford University, and, most recently, an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Despite her global career, Stephanie remains closely connected to Canadian tennis and to expanding access for young players. A former Doug Philpott junior champion and advisor to the Doug Philpott Children’s Tennis non‑profit, she has seen firsthand the impact that early opportunities in sport can have on a child’s life. She is committed to helping ensure that children from all backgrounds can pick up a racquet, feel at home on court, and see real pathways for themselves in sport and beyond.
