Together We Can Reach Our Goal
About the Project
We’re building a facility! It will be the first facility of its kind in Canada, prioritised for the local community and offering free programs all year-round.
The dream at Philpott Children’s Tennis has always been our own accessible year-round facility; a safe, dignified space that our kids and families can call their own.
A place where we can provide programming 12-months of the year and at convenient times for kids and families.
A place that is right at the kids’ doorstep, eliminating the need for long travel times and transportation.
A place that is filled with coaches, friends, mentors, and community members who are a reliable support network and champion for every kids’ success and well-being.
Well that place is coming soon and we couldn’t be more excited!

Take a look at our programs!
Ambassadors are Philpott advocates who generously make recurring donations (monthly). Ambassadors are eligible to receive special opportunities from time to time such as free lessons with some of the very best coaches in Toronto, meet and greets with Leadership Participants from the community and maybe even a special one on one with Carol Zhao!
Become a Certified Philpott Coach! The Toronto Sport Leadership Program provides participants aged 16+ with the skills and training needed to be a tennis instructor. Participants need to have experience playing tennis to apply for this program.
More About Us
Many of our Philpott Coaches first learned tennis through a Philpott Program and became certified coaches to give back to the organization. Our Toronto Sport Leadership Program allows youth aged 16-24 the chance to train and obtain their Tennis Canada Level 1 Instructor Certification for free. Our youth campers are always thrilled to think that they too could one day be certified Philpott tennis instructors.
Proud to be philpott
Philpott Childrens Tennis is a not-for-profit organization that offers free tennis programs all year round for children aged 6-15 in priority neighborhoods. Watch our video to see what some of our Philpott family has to say!
Our Philpott Community says
What I like best is how there are very kind and gentle volunteers and instructors.
Philpott Camper
I am very grateful for the funding that has got me here. I truly hope that this support will always be here for as many people as possible to participate in this program that will forever allow more and more people my age to play and learn tennis.
Syed Muhammed Zafar Alam, TSLP Participant
One of the campers this year told me that he never played tennis before. He said that his favorite sport is now tennis. After I showed him my certificate I received as a child, he mentioned that one day, he wants to become an instructor!
Kim Pallarca, Philpott Instructor
Because of this tennis program, [my kids] feel confident now. We used to come to the courts and they would ask: 'Mommy, how do we play?' and I didn't know. They love it! They asked me to buy a racquet and come to the park to play some more.
